A Northland house was extensively damaged by fire early today.
Three fire crews were called to the blaze at the single storey house in Ruakaka, 29km southeast of Whangarei, at 3.50am.
Fire Service northern communications centre shift manager Brent Dunn said the house was well alight when firefighters arrived. Nobody was in it at the time.
