Film New Zealand is seeking a new chief executive officer after the unexpected resignation of Judith McCann.
Ms McCann had held the position since July 2004.
Trustee Sue Thompson had resigned from Film NZ's board to fill the role of acting chief executive until a new appointment was made.
Chairman Julian Grimmon said the trust was finalising its strategic direction, and was "96, 97 per cent there", before beginning the recruitment process.
