A leading New Zealand entertainer accused of indecently assaulting a teenage girl is fighting to keep his name secret.
The charge relates to an incident involving a 16-year-old after a show in Wellington, The Dominion Post reported.
The accused's name and details were suppressed by Wellington District Court judge Denys Barry yesterday.
The entertainer, who lives in Auckland, was not at court. He had his attendance excused after a letter from his lawyer asked the judge to grant suppression.
The accused is listed as a company director on court documents and is expected to appear in court next month.
