A man who fled an Auckland court after being remanded in custody is still at large, five weeks later.
Lee Richard Oswald Bell, 41, failed to appear in the High Court yesterday to face trial on P-related charges.
Bell ran out of the court on February 10 after being told he had been denied bail.
His partner, Rania Niazi, 26, appeared in North Shore District Court yesterday.
She faces P charges and is alleged to have been contacting Bell while he is on the run. She was further remanded in custody.
Police today renewed appeals to the public for any sightings of Bell, who is believed to be still in the Auckland area.
