A man accused of historic sexual offences against two young girls was committed for trial in Invercargill District Court yesterday.
The 32-year-old man, who was granted interim name suppression, appeared at a depositions hearing on six charges of sexually violating the girls and a charge of indecent assault alleged to have happened between January 1992 and January 1996.
The Southland Times reported Judge Colin Doherty ruled the man had a case to answer and remanded him on bail to appear on March 30.
