A man has been found lying dead in a pool of blood in an industrial area in South Auckland.
An employee arriving for work in East Tamaki late this morning noticed the blood and drove straight to the Otara police station.
Police found the dead man lying face up in a wash room with four stab wounds to his body.
Detective Sergeant Dave Pizzini says police cannot release any details of where the man was found because they have not contacted the next of kin.
He says police have sealed off the area to carry out a crime scene examination.
Detective Sergeant Pizzini says the investigation will focus on the circumstances of the death, the background of the victim and current business operations at the premise.
Ten detectives are working on the case.
