Police have not found the thief who stole boxer David Tua's Mercedes before abandoning it in a Panmure car park.
The $85,000 four-wheel-drive was left covered in mud and missing its silver Mercedes badges after the thief's 12-hour joyride that included a spin in a reserve.
Tua had left the keys in the car when he stopped at a Mt Wellington dairy at 3 pm on Friday.
When he came out, a young man was sitting in the driver's seat. Tua eyeballed the man, who locked the doors and sped off.
