Kiwi actress Rose McIver has been interviewed by comedian Jimmy Kimmel - only to have her Kiwi accent mocked by the late night TV show host.
McIver, the star of "rom com zom dram" iZombie, surprised Kimmel by speaking with her native Kiwi twang during her interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"What is going on here? What's with this accent?" Kimmel asked.
"I'm a fraud," McIver replied, laughing. "Yeah, I'm a New Zealander."
"Ohhh," replied Kimmel. "Welcome to our nation."
McIver, who plays an American on iZombie, has lived in the US for the past five years to pursue her acting career.
She also told Kimmel about her role as a three-year-old in the Oscar-winning movie The Piano, which was shot in New Zealand.
"What I remember ... was desperately needing to go to the toilet on that production. So I look back now and, that was one of my formative memories."
The pair then discussed McIver's current project, the genre-mashing iZombie.
"We call it a 'rom com zom dram,' because it's a romance, comedy, zombie drama," McIver explained.
"The guys on the set must have been so happy when they came up with [that]," joked Kimmel.
