Children's products company phil&teds has recalled some of its car seats due to a problem with a harness.
The company said its columbus v2 car seats were found to have a harness that may not completely lock after adjusting.
"[This] could result in the car seat's harness strap not working when needed."
No incidents had been reported as a result of the fault, and the company is offering to replace any affected seats.
Company chief executive Campbell Gower said while only a small number of seats may be affected, all users should check their seat's production date, printed on the identification label on the lower right-hand side of the base.
"If found to be within the affected date range - produced between January 2016 to September 2016 - discontinue using your car seat until you complete our simple, in car, tool free, self test."
The company has posted an instructional video on testing the seats to its website, philandteds.com
