Police have abandoned their search for a person who was hit by a train in Auckland tonight - but who ran away afterwards. A train driver reported the incident, that happened at the Orakei station, to emergency services about 6.30pm, said Police Northern Communications Shift Inspector Tony Wakelin. "A male Caucasian in his 20s was on the track when he was hit. He's got hit and run off."
