WARNING: NUDITY
A 71-year-old politician from Norway has protested the excess number of cruise ships passing by the fjord where he holidays, by stripping off and taking a photo.
Svein Ingvald Opdal, a local politician for Norway's Green Party, took all his clothes off and posted a picture on Instagram of himself in the nude, baring all to the passing cruise ships.
The act was "spontaneous" that he did "mostly for fun" he told state broadcaster NRK.
"We arrived at Olden earlier on Wednesday and we immediately came upon three major cruises ships.
"We later realised there were 11,000 [cruise ship visitors] in total, and I'm not all that thrilled about these big cruise ships," he added.
Later in the week he noticed an increasing number of cruise ships passing by and mooring in the small town where he has a holiday home.
By Sunday, he had enough, and when he saw two new ones arriving he asked his wife to take a picture of him from behind, exposing himself to the ships.
While his wife willingly took the snapshot, she refused to post it on Instagram or Facebook, so the politician did it himself.
Using the caption "I protest" the politician posted it to his Instagram.
