The 39-year-old, accompanied by her sister Mercedes, arrived on a Malindo Air flight that landed at 5.09am after being deported from Bali 12-and-a-half years after she was caught with 4.1kg of marijuana in her boogie board bag.
Police have abandoned their search for a person who was hit by a train in Auckland tonight - but who ran away afterwards. A train driver reported the incident, that happened at the Orakei station, to emergency services about 6.30pm, said Police Northern Communications Shift Inspector Tony Wakelin. "A male Caucasian in his 20s was on the track when he was hit. He's got hit and run off."
The best soap box racers in the Netherlands left it all on the track as they put their DIY soapbox creations to the ultimate test at Red Bull Soap Box 2015. In the war last year, up to 30 per cent of the water pipes in Gaza were destroyed or damaged and 23 municipal-run wells and 500 septic tanks were destroyed. With 96 per cent of the drinking water unsafe for human consumption, an estimated 120 water desalination plants - many of them are unlicensed and illegally drawing water from wells - are doing their best to meet the demand. However, the small private companies delivering desalinated water are not necessarily providing a safe alternative.
