Raw: Fire destroys West Auckland house

An Auckland house was destroyed by a fire overnight. Emergency services arrived at the West Auckland two-storey house in Massey about 11.15pm following a number of calls from the public. Fire Northern Communications shift manager Scott Osmond said "a couple of LPG cylinders" and fuel, located in the home's basement, contributed to the blaze. Four fire trucks attended the fire, which took between two and three hours to extinguish, he said. No one was injured.
