The Springboks have arrived in Auckland fresh from their groundbreaking victory over Australia and have quickly laid on the charm, saying the All Blacks will lose little with Sam Cane playing at No7 instead of Richie. Meyer's team reported no major injuries after the victory, which is more than could be said of the All Blacks who have lost skipper McCaw for four weeks with a medial knee ligament strain after he left the Waikato Stadium pitch during the 28-13 win over the Pumas. However, Meyer believes his team will need to be fresh with plenty of energy to win against the All Blacks. Jock Paget completed a memorable double as New Zealand took a clean sweep of the podium at the Burghley horse trials in Lincolnshire today. The 29-year-old Olympian won the three-day classic aboard Clifton Promise to complete a double of Badminton and Burghley - not achieved in the same year, on the same horse, since 1989 with Virginia Leng and Master Craftsman.

Not much beauty and not enough of the beast - other than win, the All Blacks didn't do anything last night to force any radical change in opinion about where they currently stand. They were neither emphatic nor catastrophic. They didn't leave any indelible impression in the way they went about their business. The endeavour was honest, the commitment to task all that it should have been, but there was no wow factor. It was functional, slug it out rugby.

The All Blacks have sent a message of support and 'good luck' to the Team NZ sailors on the eve of the America's Cup finals series. While captain McCaw and coach Hansen are more traditional.. the expert sailing tips from the All Black mid-field duo are more technical.

Hamilton is ready for the All Blacks v Pumas test. The captains expect each team to step up in effort and control. While McCaw will play what is front of him, Argentina need to not make mistakes and play that elusive 'perfect game'.

For the first time in the history of the America's Cup, young, talented sailors have a clear pathway towards competing for one of the most prestigious trophies in sport.
