Reverend calls for Oscars boycott

Reverend Al Sharpton called for a boycott of the 88th Academy Awards because of the lack of diversity in the nominees. At a press conference ahead of a demonstration, Sharpton stood near a sign that read, “Boycott #OscarsSoWhite” while holding a white Oscars statue. “Hopefully next year we can have Oscars, not the white Oscars,” he said.
