Three Tararua sheep dog trialists found success on January 27-28 at the Tux New Zealand Yarding and Handy Dog Competitions held in Taumaranui.

Bo Milner won the supreme award in the New Zealand Yarding competition with his dog Snow.

He had qualified in the North Island semi-final, coming second in the competition.
The top two North Island trialists competed in the New Zealand finals against four competitors from the South Island.

Bo went one better in the final with a score of 98.5 to sweep the prize.

At the same competition Brett Harvey of Mangatainoka won the Tux NZ Handy Dog Series, winning both the semifinal with Banjo and the final with a score of 95.75.

On a hot Taumarunui day, onlookers were treated to some hot competition during the New Zealand final of the Handy Dog series. North Islanders Brett Harvey and Dawn Jones took out the top two spots in the open final, a report from the final said.

Mat Stewart of Pongoroa was competing with Wal in the Maiden/Novice section winning the semifinal with a score of 93 but not quite matching that score in the final to place second.
