This week on the Best of The Country, Jamie Mackay caught up with Rabobank chief executive Todd Charteris, to find out the latest from the bank's final quarterly Rural Confidence Survey for 2020.

Todd Charteris:

Rabobank's chief executive commented on the bank's final quarterly Rural Confidence Survey for 2020 which saw farmer confidence now at its highest level since late 2019, after plumbing record lows during the Covid lockdown.

One of New Zealand's leading farming academics said when it came to work happiness and increased productivity, money was not the main driver, as it can't buy love, doesn't buy happiness and was linked only weakly to job satisfaction. And do increased wages drive "off-shoring"?
