A hunter who went missing in Fiordland National Park has revealed himself to be safe after popping into the search and rescue base yesterday.

The man was reported missing on Tuesday after he became separated from his hunting partner, police said.

Police said the hunting partner had not seen the missing 69-year-old since Monday morning.

The missing man, who was an experienced hunter, revealed himself to be safe after he walked into the search and rescue base about 3pm yesterday.
