Rosettes and prize for the top rabbit were up for grabs by 24 fluffy pets at the first Central Districts Rabbit Club show to be held in Levin.
Judge Dylan Gray said she was looking for the friendliest and cuddliest rabbit that would let her pick it up easily.
"I'm also looking for a healthy rabbit but essentially the one that's the most laid back, chilled out and happy for overall best rabbit," she said.
Entries hopped over from as far as Wanganui, Feilding, Masterton and Otaki to the Levin and Districts Senior Citizens hall on Saturday, and while the supreme rabbit prize went to a Palmerston North bunny, reserve best in show was taken by Levin rabbit 'Henry', owned by Diana Bennet.
Other small pets were also allowed to enter the show and included 16 guinea pigs which battled it out for the top spot.
