Today on The Country it's a bit of a Bledisloe Cup special as we offer support to our farming and footy friends across the ditch who are battling the worst drought in 100 years.
On with the show:
Shane McManaway:
We head to Brisbane where the chief executive of Allflex kicks off our Bledisloe Cup special broadcast as we talk farming, footy and the prospect of a new PM across the ditch.
David Jackson:
Our next port of call is drought-ravaged Gilgandra, north of Dubbo, in Central NSW where we yarn to a "preacher man" who has been delivering and donating hay to desperate farmers for the past four years, as the worst drought in 100 years shows no sign of breaking.
Chris Russell:
Our Australian correspondent continues the trans–Tasman conversation around the drought, politics and the Bledisloe Cup.
