Fonterra Regional Head for the Waikato region Paul Grave caught up with The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum and he had some advice for farmers considering changing processors.
Farmers are deciding what company to supply next season and Paul says Fonterra research shows very few farmers seek advice when they'relooking at other processors, which the dairy co-op is concerned about.
There are risks associated with changing processors says Paul and an "apples for apples comparison is not really easy to do in many situations."
Paul suggests accountants and farm managers are a good resource when seeking information about changing processors.
