The 100 year anniversary of the Battle of Chunuk Bair was commemorated in Stratford on Saturday, August 8, with a charter parade. Members of the 5/7 Battalion of the Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment marched through the streets to the Malone Gates. PHOTOS: ILONA HANNE

Residents and visitors came out in force to help Inglewood celebrate a very special birthday on Saturday November 19. The band rotunda is now 102 years old, while the town hall is 100. Local photographer Bryce Hollands was there and took some pictures that he has kindly sent to the Stratford Press.
More than 400 service men and women are buried at the Eltham cemetery. On Thursday Eltham locals, visitors and dignitaries paid homage to these heroes, as well as those buried overseas, with a dawn service, a parade through town, the laying of wreaths at the memorial at Eltham Primary School and the laying of memorial crosses at the cemetery. Anzac Day memorial services were also held in Stratford, Inglewood and Kaponga.
