Manchester United will hand England striker Wayne Rooney his first start of the pre-season later this week.
It'll be the first time Rooney's taken the field since his disastrous World Cup campaign with England.
South Korean international Park Ji-Sung as well as Michael Carrick and Nemanja Vidic will also make their season debuts.
Manchester United play an Irish League selection in Dublin on Thursday before preparing to face Chelsea in next Monday's Community Shield match at Wembley.
Meanwhile, Rooney's teammate Anderson has been involved in a fiery car crash in Portugal - but emerged virtually unscathed.
Anderson's Audi R8 burst into flames following the accident overnight.
The 22-year old Brazilian was groggy after the accident, which happened after he had been to a nightclub with friends.
He and his two passengers were taken to nearby St Mark's Hospital in Braga for treatment of concussion and shock.
