Hayden Roulston has missed out on selection for the 2011 Tour de France, starting this weekend.
The double Olympic medallist was only considered an outside chance of being named in the HTC-High Road squad after sitting out the majority of the season with injury and illness.
Roulston only returned to the Pro Tour peloton earlier this month and hasn't had enough time to convince his team he's ready for a three week stage race.
It means Julian Dean is likely to be the only kiwi riding in this year's Tour, with the Garmin-Cervelo team expected to be announced overnight.
