The Flagship — a water's-edge restaurant with breathtaking views across West Harbour Marina — is for sale in leased premises.
ABC's Dale Truong is seeking the ideal owner/operator for the establishment which opened in 2015, following an impressive refit of the former marina bar and restaurant.
Truong says the popular restaurant at 15 Clearwater Cove, West Harbour, seats up to 200 people, with capacity for large corporate or family events, including engagements and weddings. "Forward bookings are coming in thick and fast with minimal marketing," he says.
"The marina out front has a total of 592 berths ranging in length from 10.5m to 34.0m, and there is an opportunity to engage the many people coming and going each and every day.
Truong says The Flagship turns over on average $22,000 per week, a result which also includes the earnings from its nine gaming machines.
"This is a restaurant with a loyal local clientele that is also popular with visitors and tourists — it is poised for further growth," he says. The Flagship now opens Monday to Wednesday 3pm-11pm, and from Thursday to Sunday 11am-11pm.
The total asking price — including stock of about $15,000 — is $165,000.
"This is one of Auckland's coveted and relatively rare waterfront hospitality venues; it's in a fast-growing area and is poised for additional growth," Truong says.
"It would suit an owner with passion for the hospitality industry, and vision for what The Flagship could become; who sees the potential, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to fulfil it."
