Situation:

A slow moving ridge of high pressure lies over the North Island, while a weakening front over the lower South Island moves to central New Zealand tomorrow. A ridge covers the North Island, while fronts embedded in a northwesterly flow affect the South Island on Saturday. On Sunday, a front moves northeast across the South Island as a strengthening northwesterly flow affects the North Island. A ridge builds across the country on Monday.
