Hawke Bay
Situation:
A slow moving front over the South Island sinks southwards today, while an east to northeast flow covers the North Island and spreads across the South Island during Monday. Later on Monday a front moves onto the far north, bringing rain. A low just north of the country is expected to move south, but there remains a lot of uncertainty in its predicted path and it may lie somewhere west of Taranaki to Westland by the end of the day. Another low and trough, moving eastwards, should move onto the country during Wednesday. On Thursday the trough is expected to remain over the North Island while a ridge of high pressure moves onto the South Island.
