Double amputee Mark Inglis is nearing the summit of Cho Oyu in the Himalayas, the sixth-highest mountain in the world, in a warm-up climb as he looks to scale Everest.
The former Marlborough man is sitting at Camp 1, 6600m up Cho Oyu, preparing for an attempt on its summit next week.
