The de factor partner of fugitive gang member Joe "Bucket" Coleman has been added to the police wanted list.
Police also announced today that anyone who supplied information leading to the capture of Mr Coleman would be rewarded with a "substantial" amount of money from the police informant fund.
Diane Henare-Wynyard, in her early 30s, is believed to have witnessed an incident 11 days ago in which Mr Coleman is alleged to have beaten south Auckland transvestite George "Georgie Girl" Matehaere with a baseball bat.
Mr Matehaere, 34, died in hospital six days later.
Since the incident, which police say is believed to have happened after the dead man sniffed glue in front of children, Mr Coleman and Ms Henare-Wynyard have been on the run.
Detective Senior Sergeant Neil Hallett said there was a suggestion from his family and associates that Mr Coleman, 39, wanted to spend Christmas with his family before giving himself up, but that had not happened.
"He is not a man of his word.
"I did not give it a high credibility. These men are not men of honour."
He said Ms Henare-Wynyard had now opened herself up to criminal charges if she had knowingly helped Mr Coleman evade capture.
She is described as a Maori in her early 30s with long dreadlocks usually tied in a pony tail.
"If we can establish people have been assisting him then they will be in for the high jump."
He said Mr Matehaere's family were angry they had heard nothing from Mr Coleman.
"We were conscious George was being buried yesterday and in terms of closure and some form of comfort for the family prior to him being buried, knowing this man had been spoken to about the events would have provided that.
"They didn't get that. They are pretty bloody mad."
Mr Hallett said he did not believe Mr Coleman was a danger to the public but said a substantial amount of money would be offered to anyone who helped police track him down.
"We are appealing to his associates' wallets.
"We can't say how much but it will be a substantial amount."
Mr Hallett said the couple may be travelling with their 15-year-old son.
Mr Coleman has the words "Mangu Kaha" -- a chapter of Black Power -- and the gang's symbol, a clenched fist, tattooed on his forehead. He also had another tattoo across his nose.
