Two men were injured in an assault in central Hamilton early yesterday morning as they walked to a carpark.
One man was in Waikato Hospital with serious head injuries, including a fractured skull, and the other received minor injuries in the attack about 3am, police said.
"We're interested in hearing from people who witnessed the attack and who saw the attackers get into a people mover type vehicle that left the scene driving on Victoria St with its lights off," Detective Chris McRae said.
