West Auckland police are concerned for the safety and well-being of a man reported missing from his Swanson home.
Ross Victor Robertshaw, a 29-year-old student, was last seen by his flatmate about 8.15am yesterday when he drove off from his Burton Rod home.
His disappearance was out of character and police were concerned for his safety.
Early inquiries suggested he may be travelling to the Northland region, and could be in Whangarei, police said.
Mr Robertshaw was described as Caucasian, about 1.7 metres tall and of medium build, with short blond hair.
He was last seen wearing a white polo shirt, black polar fleece jacket with a Unitec logo on it, black pants and tidy black shoes, with a blue lanyard around his neck.
His car was a grey 1987 Honda hatchback, registration ACRX.
