A woman was in a critical condition last night after being stabbed in the abdomen in central Auckland.
The woman, in her early 20s, was stabbed in a carpark behind the Langham hotel in Symonds St at 11.20pm.
Inspector Barry Smalley said police were speaking to two men about the stabbing. Another woman, who was thought to have been threatened, was at the scene.
St John shift manager Glen Taylor said an ambulance rushed the stabbed woman to nearby Auckland City Hospital.
