Wilson and Horton announces...
The price of the Herald and the Weekend Herald goes up from Monday, but subscribers will continue to receive the papers at the old price.
From Monday, the Herald will cost $1 at the news-stands and the Weekend Herald will cost $1.50.
If you subscribe, you will get the award-winning papers for 90c and $1.20 respectively.
Wilson & Horton chief executive John Sanders said the company had held the price for the past two years while introducing extensive new editorial features in sports, arts, entertainment, real estate and the internet.
"We are reluctantly increasing the price for across-the-counter buyers," he said. "It is important to stress that the papers will still be available to existing and new subscribers at the old price."
