The broken down ferry in the Firth of Thames that was earlier reported to be taking on water has docked safely.
Police responded to the call from a ferry in the Firth of Thames that is taking on a bit of water.
A spokeswoman said there were about 100 people on board the ferry.
However, she said the ferry, which had a mechanical fault, was now docked safely in Coromandel.
Earlier a police spokeswoman said while there was water coming into the vessel, the crew were not too concerned.
"It's not flooding fast or anything," she said. "Our maritime boat is responding to go and assist."
According to the MetService boating forecast conditions at sea were poor, with strong winds and choppy waters.
