Driver trapped after truck and car collide on SH5 between Putaruru and Rotorua

SH25 has been closed between Putaruru and Rotorua after a car and truck collided.

Emergency services are at the scene of the accident which happened just before 4.30pm today, a Police media spokeswoman said.

The accident happened near Harwoods and Tapapa Rds.

The truck driver is out of the vehicle, but the driver remains trapped in the car and is reported to be in a serious condition.

The road has been closed to allow Fire and Emergency to free the driver from the car.
