Police are investigating after a body was discovered north of Auckland tonight.
The body was found dead outside a Helensville house, near State Highway 16, 50km north west of Auckland, Inspector Matt Rogers of northern police communications, told NZPA.
"At this stage the cause of the death is not known so we're just working our way through what we find to determine what, if any, issues have occurred."
It was not yet known if the person was a male or female, or what age they were.
