French Canadian pop diva Celine Dion has revealed she is at last pregnant, ending speculation sparked after she spent a few days at a fertility clinic in New York.
Dion said she wanted to "share the wonderful news" with her fans.
"There's no hiding happiness. We can't keep something so big, so wonderful a secret just for us. This time it's for real - I'm pregnant," Dion said.
"We just found out, Rene [Angelil] and I, that the dream dearest to our hearts has come true. We are completely, totally happy. And we thank God for the great joy we've been given."
Dion, aged 32, who is taking a three-year sabbatical from her singing career to have a child, underwent two small operations just two weeks ago to improve her chances of becoming pregnant.
