Every morning, customers rush to buy a doughnuts shop's entire inventory just so the owner can close up early and go home to look after his sick wife.
John Chhan and his wife Stella have been running the Donut City shop in California for nearly 30 years.
CNN reports that Stella had a brain aneurysm last month and John now tries to spend as much time as he can with her.
After decades of spreading sweetness in the community with their doughnuts, the Chhans have now experienced just how grateful people are for their service.
Every morning, starting from 4:30am, customers flock to the shop to buy all the doughnuts available so that John can close up for the day at 10:30am and rush to be next to his wife, who is in a nursing home.
