Mothers have shared their disbelief on social media after the Duchess of Cambridge emerged from hospital looking immaculate just hours after giving birth.
Wearing a stylish floral dress and with her hair curled into her trademark loose waves, Kate looked remarkably fresh as she stepped out of the Lindo Wing with her new baby and Prince William.
The couple beamed as they cradled the princess outside St Mary's Hospital, in scenes that echoed those back in July 2013 when Kate gave birth to Prince George.
Kate had given birth to the little princess less than 12 hours before, prompting hundreds to ask 'how does she do it' after seeing her in the elegant Jenny Packham dress.
Lucy tweeted: 'How bloody great does Kate look! I definitely didn't look like that a few hours after giving birth.'
Hannah said: 'Dear Jesus I love you. You're awesome, please let me look half as good as Kate Middleton after giving birth.'
Hannah Griffiths said: 'I'm so insanely jealous of how good Kate looks just hours after giving birth. I looked a right royal mess for weeks after!! #RoyalBabyGirl'
Mary Burke said: "Kate is gorgeous in yellow. Jealous she looks that good tho. I couldn't even walk after my train wreck birth."
Rebecca Ryan said: "Kate Middleton looks gorgeous-I didnt look that good 10 WEEKS after giving birth! Can't wait for the name. #RoyalBaby"
Stevie-Jayne said: "I hope I look as good as Kate when I leave hospital after having my baby!! She looks beautiful as ever gorgeous baby girl #RoyalBabyGirl"
The newest royal, whose name is yet to be announced, was born at 8.34am today weighing 8lbs and 3oz - less than three hours after the Duchess was admitted to hospital.
