Adele has announced a full Australian tour - and told New Zealand fans to "stay tuned for more news".

The chart-topping UK pop star today confirmed widespread rumours that she'd be visiting Australia in 2017 for the first time, playing shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide.

In a message posted on Twitter and Facebook, she wrote: "Yep, I am coming down under! In the round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible."

The news might disappoint her Kiwi fans who were hoping she would include New Zealand on the tour, news which has been rumoured for months.

But on Facebook, Adele said she was "thinking of you, New Zealand" after yesterday's dramatic earthquake, and told her fans to "stay tuned".
