Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch temporarily forgot that he was married when he was interviewed as he made his way to an Oscars after-party.
The British actor had earlier raised eyebrows when he poked fun at his slim chances of winning the best actor trophy, by drinking from a hip flask during the Hollywood ceremony.
He mouthed the words "Go away" to the camera as the night's host, Neil Patrick Harris, sang on stage: "No one's drunk and bitter yet 'cause no one has lost."
Later the star, 38, who lost to The Theory of Everything's Eddie Redmayne, went to the Vanity Fair after-party with his new wife Sophie Hunter, who is expecting their first child.
The couple tied the knot on Valentine's Day.
He told Good Morning Britain: "I get to dance."
Asked what kind of dancer he was, Cumberbatch replied: "That's for me and my fiancee... my fiancee?... my wife I should say."
He added: "I'm just going to go in there and dance.... It's very nice to speak to you but ... it's about the celebrating ... I'm done with talking."
The Sherlock star provided one of the most famous images of the 2014 Oscars, when he photobombed U2 on the red carpet - waving his hands behind the band and leaping up into the air.
