Candy Lane has been confirmed as the first judge for Dancing With the Stars, the twinkle-toed celebrity reality show that's making a comeback on TV3.
Lane, a presenter over its five season run on TV One, spills the goss on the "modern" revision of the show to this week's edition of Woman's Weekly.
"It's going to be modern, bigger and better, with lots more genres than ballroom and Latin dancing," Lane told the magazine.
"When they said it was Dancing with the Stars, and asked me to be involved, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
"There was no hesitation at all. I have always had a huge fondness for this show - it's been a real gift for me and it is wonderful to get to do it again."
Lane told the mag that she's excited about who exactly the 'stars' will be, but the Auckland choreographer has her fingers crossed for Kiwi actor Antony Starr.
"I think he's so good!" Lane said about the Outrageous Fortunes star.
"The only trouble is I would want to be his dancing partner - I'd have to pull on my dancing shoes!"
No date has been confirmed by TV3 for Dancing With the Stars. It's canon of local reality shows also includes The Bachelor, Grand Designs, The Block, Masterchef and The X Factor NZ.
