Kiwifruit and avocado company Satara Co-operative Group has appointed Tom Wilson as managing director, after he filled the role on an interim basis for eight months.
Since taking up the interim position last May, Wilson had focused on re-engineering the company's business activities and pursuing strategic opportunities, Satara said yesterday.
It had been decided it was in the best interests of Satara to maintain the consistent level of management discipline and momentum Wilson had brought to the company.
The decision follows an announcement last month that Satara's proposed merger with EastPack has been cancelled.
