Local music magazine Real Groove is to close.
The pop culture monthly glossy, which was originally published by Real Groovy Records but later taken over by Tangible Media, will merge with its free street-press offshoot The Groove Guide from mid-November.
In a letter to contributors, editor Sam Wicks says the merger "reflects the challenge of the times".
The magazine started out as a freebie in 1993 before eventually hitting magazine stands with a cover price in the late 90s.
The magazine's final cover star in its October and 196th issue is Leonard Cohen.
