The six boats competing in the Volvo Ocean Race have left Auckland Harbour this morning for Leg 5 of the race.
The fleet left at 9am this morning instead of last Sunday as initially planned due to the conditions caused by Cyclone Pam.
"There's probably not many people who have sailed very close to a cyclone," said Team SCA's navigator Libby Greenhalgh.
Team SCA won The New Zealand Herald In-Port Race Auckland on Saturday.
About 100 people gathered by the the Viaduct Events Centre at Auckland's Viaduct Harbour to see the boats off.
