In a rare turn of events, a local ewe has given birth to four lambs at once, and all have survived.
Former truck driver Philip Jones owns 7ha on Kuku Beach Road where he breeds lamb and beef, enough to feed his family.
Last week Mr Jones woke to find one of his ewes had given birth to four lambs.
In disbelief at first, he went searching for another ewe until he realised the lambs were quadruplets.
Mr Jones said he had no idea that the ewe was pregnant with four lambs.
"I knew we might be in for multiple births but definitely not four," he said.
"Plenty of ewes will have four lambs but for all four to survive birth is another thing," he said.
Mr Jones supplements feed for the four little lambs he has named Lamb Chops, Lamb Roast, Leg of Lamb and Lamb Rack.
"Three times a day I go in with a bottle and make sure none are hungry," he said.
"They will all survive now, especially with the plastic bags to help keep them warm."
He said his four children have each got their eyes on a lamb to go in the freezer for Christmas dinner.
