An errant postie is responsible for yet another hiccup in Auckland's local body election.
New Zealand Post reports that voting packs have not been delivered to around 400 homes in Mangere.
Instead a new, on-call postie panicked after not delivering them on time, and disposed of them.
New Zealand Post believed it had recovered all the non-delivered packs and popped them in the right letter boxes.
But it now thinks more packs may have been disposed of than originally thought.
The postie has been dismissed.
