A patched gang member thought to be involved with a meth operation uncovered by police earlier this month is still on the run.
Justin Martin Unwin, 44, is a Head Hunters gang member and police have been hunting him since August 9.
Unwin is wanted in connection with a meth bust in Auckland that day.
Members of the National Organised Crime Group with the assistance of the Armed Offenders Squad executed two search warrants at addresses in Glendene and Glendowie.
During the searches police located approximately half a kilogram of methamphetamine, about $50,000 in cash, a handgun, and chemicals and equipment used in the manufacturing of meth.
Detective Sergeant Pete Reynolds said police believe Unwin can assist with their inquiries into the drug operation.
Reynolds said anyone who knew where Unwin was should contact the Police Motorcycle Gang Unit immediately on 09 259 0680.
