Heavy rain and slips have damaged Wellington roads, meaning motorists may notice different road layouts and routes this weekend.
NZTA said crews were working to restore the network but drivers should plan ahead and expect delays in some cases.
State Highway 1 from Pukerua Bay to Plimmerton is operating at two lanes northbound and one lane southbound. Contractors will be on site over the next few days stabilising the slip.
Weather permitting they are aiming to have all four lanes operating on Monday morning.
State Highway 2 at the Hutt on-ramp has returned to its normal layout, with shipping containers brought in to provide protection from slips.
State Highway 58 at Judgeford Bridge is now open to one lane in each direction under a 30km/h speed limit.
A further stop/go closure will be put in tonight to enable repair work to be completed.
The westbound closure of the section of State Highway 58 between Postgate Roundabout to Paremata will remain in place until repair work is completed.
Motorists are advised to use State Highway 1 and 2 instead of travelling on State Highway 58 if possible.
