A man is in a serious condition in Tauranga Hospital following a raid on a suspected methamphetamine lab.

Police this morning located a suspected clan lab on Walker Road East, between Tauranga and Katikati.

Police said it was believed the address had been used for the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Police said in a statement a male thought to have links to the address had been dropped off at hospital by another man, who police would like to speak to.

ESR scientists and a police clan lab team were processing the property today. Police inquiries were continuing.
